Gold Coast QLD Maternity Session | Studio Session

Luca and I had so much fun getting creative with this maternity session. I had told him about the idea of incorporating gold foil and fine art into a studio session, once the bump got bigger. Luca is great to shoot with because he puts complete trusts into my visions and listens to my directions when it comes to orchestrating our own shoots. I love the creative flair he adds to our sessions too. Experimenting with different angles and lighting.

Capturing the image

When it came time to shoot, I briefly told Luca that we will only spend 30 minutes capturing the images. Well safe to say that 30 minutes turned into 4 hours of laughter and camera clicks! First of all we underestimated the duration of time that it would take to stick the gold foil on. Testing out different lotions and breaking up the foil into different sizes was a tedious job. But we go there in the end and the outcome was amazing.

After we spent an hour applying the gold foil, it was time to shoot. We really experimented with lighting during this session. Starting off with the umbrella light on the left and capturing a few images. We were searching for a bit of dramatic shadow and decided to pop the light on the other side. It made the world of a difference and complimented our vision of the shoot well. The main images that we were aiming for was a lying down reflection images. We managed to capture the perfect angle in order to create this style of artwork.

Editing the image

Once we had finished shooting we popped the images into photoshop and that is when I had free reign to work some magic. I always say its best to try and get the image as best you can straight out of camera. But there is just something that I love when it comes down to getting creative in photoshop. It really opens up all avenues of creativity.

Robina, QLD Cake Smash Photographer

When Rinah reached out to me about photographing her daughters first year cake smash, we were thrilled! I love a good old cake smash.

Firstly Rinah and I went over all the details about her daughter Shareen’s birthday theme. She wanted a lot of pinks and purples incorporated. I knew instantly that we were going to use the fine art floral backdrop from intuition backdrops.

When it came to the day we had designed a silver balloon arch with purple roses and fairy lights for the cake smash.

Shareen was a little shy coming into the studio at first. To help her warm up to the new environment we played her favourite song. Almost immediately her little personality was coming out of her shell. She wore the sweetest little pink tutu with a floral top and a floral head piece that complimented the cake smash set up perfectly.

We of course started off the session with some portrait shots of Shareen before capturing her with the cake. The portrait session was full of laughter and so much joy from everyone In the studio. Shareen stole our hearts.

Rinah, Shareen’s mum crafted a beautiful pink cake for Shareen to get messy with. Shareen had the biggest smile and would dabble around the cake.

After capture many moments of Shareen smashing the cake, we had organised a bubble bath for her to enjoy.

Bubble baths are included in our Cake Smash Photography Session and are perfect for cleaning up our littlest clients. Rinah was so happy with the outcome of the shoot that she immediately booked Dreamy Moon Photography in to capture Shareen’s first birthday party event.

Burleigh Heads, QLD Milk Bath Maternity Session.

Leisa was absolutely amazing in her Burleigh heads, QLD Milk Bath maternity session! When she asked me about the idea of a milk bath maternity session the first thing that came to mind was bright beautiful florals. Leisa was up for anything and trusted my vision, which I love when clients trust our creativity. The shoot was taken place in Leisa’s bathroom, with a newly renovated bath set up. It was the perfect shoot location. We hand selected rose pink and pastel pink flowers to float in the bath. Next we filled up the bath with full cream milk to create a nourishing and relaxing experience for Leisa.

The natural light into the bathroom bounced off the white walls beautifully, creating the perfect lighting. Leisa looked like a goddess in the water. Firstly we captured Leisa in a white lace robe, paired with light blush lipstick and she looked INCREDIBLE!

Outfits:

We decided to change it up a little bit and pop on a black outfit which contrasted so lovely against the bright flowers and the white milk bath.

I was so excited when Leisa asked if we could do some nudie shots. I am a sucker for fine art photography. Leisa was honestly glowing! These portraits should be printed on a large canvas and displayed for everyone to see! It’s so important that we take the time out to capture your growing belly and changing body. It’s truely an incredible thing to experience! I am so glad Leisa walked away feeling incredibly beautiful and empowered in her pregnancy glow. It is so important to me as a photographer to enhance the experience of my clients and ensure they walk away feeling incredibly amazing and on top of the world!

Christmas Photos with Santa, Miami QLD

Christmas Photos in Miami Qld Pine forest

Christmas photos with Santa, Miami QLD is so much better outside in the pine forest!

We decided to try something different for our Christmas 2021 photography mini sessions, Santa Claus made his visit to Dreamy Moon Photography to create wonderful memories with all the children and get photos taken in the pine forest.

Firstly we had to set the theme to make this experience perfect for all our families involved. We had decided to craft a large natural dried pine forest wreath using the free fallen foliage off the pine forest floor. We added some dark red jingle bells and berry picks to give the wreath a pop of colour.

Next we brought along our bench seat and added a beautiful cream and red tassel blanket to give a Christmas feel. A sign was then added next to the wreath and bench seat to tie in the Christmas photos with Santa, Miami QLD Set up.

We had so many wonderful families fall in love with capturing photos in the pine forest with Santa. In fact over 40 families ended up booking in. Christmas Photos with Santa, Miami QLD was a great option as it was Covid safe due to the nature of it being outdoors and scheduled sessions.

Families loved the idea of getting out of the standard shopping centres. As a result outdoors in the nature to celebrate the Christmas festivities. We even had the pleasure of accommodating to children who are on the spectrum. Each parent and carer expressed how greatful they were to have this as an option. A way to capture the moment whilst meeting the sensory needs of their children. Allowing them to have space if they need too and run around the pine forest. Or simply being with their family and Santa magically hiding in the background.

Let me tell you all about the Mothers Group Christmas Photoshoot in the Gold Coast QLD!

So how did we come up with the idea to do a baby Christmas Photoshoot in the Gold Coast?

We had been doing our annual Christmas Mini photoshoots in the Gold Coast pine forest, when I met our lovely Michelle.

Michelle reached out to me after her christmas mini session with such a wonderful idea, to come and capture all the babies at her mothers group. We couldn’t say no to capturing 5 gorgeous chunky babies, so we immediately scheduled a session.

Michelle loves interior design and spends a fair bit of her spare time renovating house, when she’s not being a mumma. We decided to capture the shoot next to Michelle’s stone fire place and grand Christmas tree.

Firstly we captured the babies in a little red car. They were all so delightful and full of laughs and smiles. Each baby had their own little personalities come out in front of the camera and was too adorable! After we had finished shooting the babies in the little red car, we moved onto the next prop set.

We popped all 5 babies into beautifully wrapped Christmas present boxes next to each other. They all coordinated so well with their little Christmas outfits. Now you can imagine what it’s like to get 5 different babies attention. We had to get real creative and pulled out the rattles, squeakers and little stuffed teddy bears. Some of the babies loved the attention and others, well lets just say it’s a big job posing and being a model! For the babies that were happy during the photos, we moved onto one more set. Santa Claus! It was so sweet watching the babies interact with Santa Claus, and to capture their first Christmas on camera.

In the end we captured some beautiful photos of the Christmas Baby Photoshoot in the Gold Coast. They were genuine and candid, filled with both laughter and tears.

Gold Coast Newborn Photography QLD | William’s Newborn Session

Gold Coast Newborn Photography Session of sweet baby William.

William was so dreamy and slept the entire session for his Gold Coast Newborn Photography session. In other words he was so content being wrapped and unwrapped. We decided to keep our set up to beautiful neutral tones. So we could focus purely on the William. William mum ‘Olivia’ wanted to incorporate his older brother into the session. How could we not capture the precious bond between them! In addition we incorporated a few lifestyle shots into the session. Capturing the pure moment of being candid. William’s older brother was absolutely smitten! He could not keep his hands off the new addition. You could see how much these two are going to grow into becoming inseparable.

Above all Olivia expressed how important it was for their family to have tangible keep sake items to take home. Together we discussed all of the Artwork options available, such as an Album, Folio Box, Prints & Canvas Art. She decided on some prints to create a gallery wall. This would be the perfect heirloom for their home. We are so honoured to be able to create tangible keep sake artwork for people to have in their homes and hearts for years to come. William and his family was such a dream to work with during his Gold Coast, newborn photography session. We hope that we can continue to capture their growing family and everlasting moments.
